New Fabric Postcard and Greeting Card

Aerial View was created with silk, and cotton hand dyed and commercial fabric; fused raw- edge applique, and machine quilting using decorative thread.  I couched yarn on to the quilt surface.  The edges were bound with a zigzag stitch.

Tea Time

My “Tea Time” quilt was created with used tea bag paper as the background.  I made some photo images on the tea bag paper for the letters and the tea strainer.  The lemons are also photo images.  The tea cup and teapot were created by putting yarn, thread, and roving between two pieces of water soluble stabilizer, and free motion quilting on top.  I also created stencils with freezer paper for the leaves on the background, and binding, which is cheesecloth.

Spaceship Endeavor

The spaceship Endeavor made it's final flight on Friday September 21.  We were lucky to be one of the cities in flew over before retiring to a museum in L.A.  This photo was taken from our deck.
